A bomb blast in Salazai area of Bajaur Agency killed one security official and injured a passerby, security sources confirmed. Security forces cordoned off the area and a search operation in the area is underway. Bajaur is one of seven semi-autonomous tribal districts along Pakistan´s mountainous western border. They became a hotbed of extremist militants following the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. The area has witnessed several such acts of terror in the past.
