LAHORE: Petition has been filed in Lahore High Court (LHC) seeking cancellation of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) registration.
The petition has been filed by a local lawyer taking the plea that MQM chief delivered speeches against Pakistan. It was further said in the petition that MQM was not a patriotic party and as per constitution it is binding on every political party that it must be loyal to Pakistan.
The petitioner requested the court to issue orders for cancellation of MQM registration. Election Commission of Pakistan and interior ministry have been made respondents in the petition.
